BDA-2 available input bit length
« on: 29 Jan 2018, 02:33 pm »
Hi James!

Does BDA-2 accept a 20-bit digital signal through it's digital inputs? I Know it can accept 16-bit and 24-bit but can it accept 20-bit? I am asking because I am planning on purchasing a digital source component that has a 20-bit digital output.

SBM-capable (Super Bit Mapping) ADCs (analog-to-digital) converters built into digital recorders like DAT output in 20-bit. I would like to Know if I can improve the sound of such machines by connecting them to the BDA-2.

Best wishes,
Antun

Hi Antun

Engineering tells me the BDA2 will accept 20 bit. :thumb:
