Title: do I need to put anything else except vinyl on Herbies Way Excellent mat?

Maybe a stupid question, but anyway, here it is: I recently bought Way Excellent mat from Herbies and I would like to know if the LP goes directly on top of it, or there should be anything in between. The reason I'm asking is that when I put an LP directly on the mat and try to clean the LP with microfiber brush, the LP stops spinning because of the pressure, despite the platter and mat still rotating. Thanks!

The lp goes directly on the mat. Probably more pressure is being applied to the microfiber brush than necessary (I've never heard of such a thing happening). Maybe if you use less pressure on the brush and/or press the lp gently at the label area before using the brush you won't have any problem.

Thanks for the response, gently pressing the lp at the label area did the trick!
