Right there with you. Haunting and beautiful. Couldn't wait for Sunday afternoons on I think PBS to watch it but often felt mournful at the show's end.

Going back through this thread, almost every suggestion is apropo.
But kmmd's suggestion of the Theme from Twin Peaks is the best. Yeah the Peter Gunns and Pink Panthers, 007's and Mission Impossibles are all imbedded with their franchises... but the Twin Peaks tune told you up front that this was something different, something that stands alone.

Exactly. It just stood out to me way back when. Oh The Sopranos, yes, another excellent one.

Hmm let me put Falling on and see how the CODA 16 treats it.

EDIT: Geez, so much depth, echoes, and iron fist grip on the YGs and RELs. The album with Floating and Into the Night brings back memories. It was so different from an album that came out in 1989.
