I am confident with soldering and desoldering, but I don't know anything about transistors, capacitors etc.. Is there anything cheap and simple I could do to upgrade my LKS 004?

Came to mind isolation foots or better C core transformers, not cheap.

Oh the big round donut thing? Ya that would be easy to change out. How much would a better one be? I looked on partsconnexion and they had some for 100$ which isnt too bad

Hardly a quality C core would cost this small.
Look some like Hashimoto C core power transformers:

Ha why do you say that? I was lookin to switch out for a Denafrips maybe or the Music Pegasus R2R, should I just hold out for those?
