Wine Tasting

All,

I would like to start a new topic called "Wine Tasting" to give you all a taste of some new ideas, and most importantly, to obtain feedback from you Red Wine Audio connoisseurs

Take a look here:

http://www.redwineaudio.com/Wine_Tasting.html

This is a custom Clari-T-Amp solution that one of my customers wanted, and I brought it to life  :smoke:

Again, just because something is not on the website does not mean it can't happen...  8)

Sincerely,

JeffB

preamp, DacKit integration

I like all the ideas mentioned really well.

I have been thinking about what kind of configuration I would want if I bought the DacKit.  I actually have 2 digital sources (TV cable, DVD).  I might also like a phono setup.  This scenario gets difficult to handle.

I would need a switchbox before the DacKit.  But I also need another switchbox to select output from either the DacKit or another analog source(phono).

If you make a passive preamp, you might want to think about a good way to integrate it with the DacKit.  One thought would be to have two separate switches, one for analog and one for digital.  The output from the digital switch could be sent to the DacKit.  The output from the DacKit could be sent back to the preamp as an analog input for the second switch.

Remote Control

The FT audio Little Wonder LW1S2 passive preamp has a nice remote control setup IMHO.  The remote control is housed in a separate box.  You can see it here:
http://www.ftaudio.com/Product_LW1S2.htm.

I would like a similar remote control option.  I don't know if it is possible to have a quality volume control with remote though.

Wow, one could end up with quite a few little boxes.
battery, preamp, DacKit, remote control, Clari-T.  Not that this is a bad thing.

Company Logo

Is there a company logo etched or even stickered onto any of these boxes?  Someday, somebody, may inherit these boxes and have no idea what they have.  They'll be put out for $5 at a garage sale.  Somebody will buy them, find out they sound amazing, but have no idea what they own.

Hi Jeff,

I am currently just using a simple label on the bottom of the Clari-T-Amp which has name and serial number information.

However, I am working on getting my company logo on special "tags" that could be applied to the front (centered above the volume control).

I'll post pictures as soon as I get them, and for all those who already bought a Clari-T-Amp, I'd be happy to mail this to you.

Thanks for the ideas,
