Silk Monitors in highly figured sapele - SOLD
« on: 30 Apr 2015, 04:07 pm »
This is a pair of Silk Monitors done in sapele with black front baffles and matching speaker stands.  We looked through our inventory and found some very highly figured sapele.  We used a gloss finish to make sure the sapele really popped.

Here are some pictures...

And a close-up...

The stands were designed to allow the speaker wire to be fed up through the center column from the bottom.

The Silks are priced at $3495 and the matching stands are $400.

These are available for immediate delivery.

Wow very cool. Reminds me of some speakers I built once.  Naturally yours are way more professional.

What is the nominal impedance?
What is the recommended power to drive these in a medium size room? Ayre AX7 integrated with 60W into 8 ohm is adequate?
Thanks

These are 8 ohm speakers.  As for power, the AX7 would probably work in a medium sized room at moderately high volume levels or less.  They are about 84db sensitive as I recall, so more power would probably be beneficial.

I should note that they were just sold.
