Hi all,
Been to the show all day, Bryston in my opinion has the best sound in the show, really like how it sound, will be back tomorrow to listen to the Bryston system, worth enjoying that system more.  Second one I like is the one with the PMC speakers 1B2 (I think) with big mono block which don’t remember the brand. Also like the big Dali speakers driven with the NAD masters series. Some others system were also very good. A really good show, glad that interest is back after those two difficult years. All the best for all the exposants.

My favorite room at the show.

This 40k system is all about stellar engineering, good taste and industry leading value.

Bravo Bryston

wish I was there.  James, can you spec the components and the connections please,
no MSRP, just what are the elements and how are they all connected ?  I see 2 amps
but not enough image resolution to read how many channels etc.

Hi

BDP3 Digital Player
BDA3 DAC
New BP19 ANALOG Preamp
BAX 1 Digital Crossover
21B Amp x 2
New Pair Model T’s
Cables are all generic like Canare

I use generic cables at shows and ripped CD’s because if you use exotic cables people give credit to the exotic - whereas with generic cables and CD maximum resolution files, and you like what you hear,  you have to give credit to the Bryston gear.

THE DEMO IS EVERYTHING  :thumb:

Thanks!

Hi Velo

I am working on literature now but it is identical to the analog section of the BR-20 preamp.

Hi James, will the bp19 have a display like the br20? I like the LED ring around the volume knob of the br20 and always found the display kind of redundant (not considering other features that might need it).

Thanks,

Holger

Hi James so it will have the same sound signature of the BR-20? I mean wider and less forward soundstage compared to BP-26?

Hi - No light ring on the BP19

Thanks, James. Here my thoughts: 20 years of warranty for analog equipment but the OLED is digital. I doubt any OLED display in the world will be fit in 20 years. I'd prefer the light ring. replacing the LEDs over time should be possible in case of damage. Also I personally think it looks cool.

I buy Bryston not only because of sound quality (also other brands have good sounding stuff) - I got a 4B3 and a BP173 because of the 20 years, the built quality and the durability of parts.

Hey James. Do you have pictures of the other speakers in the new T series? Along with pricing? I saw a stream on YouTube that showed off some smaller towers and bookshelf speakers but the quality wasn't great. Would love to see the full lineup :)

Sounds like this new analog only BP19 could be the nail in the coffin for the BP26 which IIRC has been around since 2007. Seems likely given it appears that the BP173, BR20 and the new BP19 appear to have a very similar chassis...

…i think Ron is right. This could be the end of the 26 (what a great preamp it is :thumb:).

….btw James,

is Bryston going to offer a smaller integrated amp? Something like „the little brother of the B 135 Cubed“ since  the B60 is no longer available ?!?

Would these T10, Middle T and Slim T all be considered 'line arrays?'  This is a new direction for Bryston speakers?

Actually I am interested in the "boring" stuff.  The rational in adding an additional driver, how they were manufactured, are they shipped as one piece , or 3 etc.  I am sure all that information will come out in time. They do look amazing, if I had not been traveling for work the two weeks prior to the Montreal show, I certainly would have traveled down to see/listen to them in person.

Have a great weekend.

Very nice finish on the rear panel of the speakers!

I would still like to see an option for higher quality terminals (not plastic) on a speaker of this level.

PS - the sound of this active crossover, tri-amped setup was excellent.  Authoritative, controlled and relaxed at the same time.  I often returned to the room to heal after being aurally assaulted in other rooms  :o

Hi sfraser - It was much more than adding one driver.  The design is a line-array so the way the speaker radiates sound into the room is totally different than a point source speaker.  The crossover is different as well as it has to account for the change in the radiation response.

They will be shipped as one piece but are manufactured as 3 separate pieces.

Would the line array Middle T10 or the original Middle T10 be a better option for a small room (10’x12’x8’)?

Any pricing available yet on the Middle T10?

Hi Sam

Line Arrays like the Middle T10 will work fine in a small room due to the wave launch but either the Middle T or the Middle T10 would be fine.
The Middle T10 will be $14K list.
