I can make this thing look good, you make it sound good
First, that big ring around the perimeter must be made thinner, to work with this veneer it should be copper. I would use a black woofer and a copper phase plug.
Also the screws are too large in diameter, it brings the eyes to the center of the speaker which looks like the warhear to a 155 mm howitzer, some may like that look, especially if they have a small pee pee.
Next are the feet...too large, they draw attention to themselves, all that work on the veneer should be justified by having the eye drawn to the wood work.
You don't want it too look vulgar, it is a large piece, give it some sophistication, let it be something that doesn't look like the elephant in the room. It has to be toned down.
For example ..those Mini Coopers with the British flag on the roof, they are cool for the first few weeks , but eventually you wish you went with something more simple.
