Hi, I am new here just saying hello..

Also getting back into hifi I’ve noticed things have changed a lot in solid state amplification. So many reasonable priced options in class D…

As a lover of big heavy iron with meters and heat sinks, I’m kind of sad that old school solid state doesn’t seem to measure up to the latest generation of super low distortion class D amplification.

I’ve always admired and desired the McIntosh 501 and 601 monoblocks, but I’m about to buy some 700W nCore class D just because it’s so cheap and efficient.

Sad, but not sad I guess!
