Probably not.  Unlike the other Bobs on this thread, he keeps quiet if he has nothing important to say....

 I was only asking because he said something, then he unsaid it.
I couldn't resist ribbing him.

Wife and I had a great day (away from the kids) at the air show.
Got a sunburn, shot 913 photos, got teary eyed with the aircraft.
Overall, it was a great afternoon.

Highlights are: The Blue Angels, The Canadian Snow Birds, an F-22, and an assortment of wonderful vintage WWII aircraft, and a bird... A real one. Oh, and a kite.

Great pics, Bob. It's been a quite some time, but I remember vividly the last time I saw the Blue Angels.  I had to choke back the tears for fear of looking like a blithering fool. There is something so....what are the words.......unbelievably majestic about those incredible birds and pilots. It may sound weird to some, but it zings my soul in the same way our National Anthem does. In a strange way it makes me feel very small and very privileged simultaneously.

Nicely said, Peter J.

Back in 2001 we attended a morning practice of the Blue Angels down at their home base in Pensacola. They practice there every week when they are not on tour.

It was a great day, with early morning airshow, late morning visit Naval Air Museum, then grab a sandwich and head to Pensacola Beach. The most vivid memory of that day, beside my 2nd child standing up for the first time, was seeing the cutaway of a A-1 Skyraider engine, a 2800HP Wright R-3350 18 cylinder compound turbo radial engine. A Truly Beautiful Thing!
