I used a Glow One amp to demo a pair of Super 5's at the Valve State of the Art conference in 2008 with good results. Single-ended, EL 84 tubes putting out 5 watts/channel filled the large room with involving sound, direct from a CD player. The current 'version 2' has usb/DAC input as well as RCA's, and works on both 120 & 230 volt services. Has headphone output and an LED-lit volume control....... $648.               Cheers, Hank

Hey Hank,

tanks you for your response.
The little glow amp looks very promising. Just saw one on audiogon for $365.

Does anyone around here have the same problem with omega's and rock music.
I'm wondering if it's cause of a bad amp match or in the speaker itself. Maybe a single driver can't handle rockmusic very well. Or it's to revealing for badly recorderd rock music?

My Omega Hemp Bipoles are fine with Rock. Do your super 3i's have the hemp drivers? A sub or two would help low end response.

IMO poorly engineered albums sound bad on most speakers unless your're willing to tolerate heavy compression and truncated detail.

I bet your speakers would sound nice with this Scott LK-48. :eyebrows:
