OB7 QUERY

hi danny, i was wondering if you had a chance to test  the ob7(neo3pdr,m130-16,m130x) in a freeair setup. how did thw ob7's overall freqresp change? or to rephrase, how low does the ob7 with m130x drivers play if all drivers are freeair?

I used that combination in prototype that used a pair of the servo subs handling the bottom end. It used the Neo tweeter, M-130/16's in the middle and a pair of M-130X woofers in series helping to cover a little lower end. The crossover point to the servo subs still fell in the 200Hz range. You really can't push them much lower than that in free air without really giving up power handling.

Danny,

I was wondering, instead of using a pair of M-130X woofers, could a pair of SW-12-16FR Servo Sub Woofers be used and crossover at 200Hz?  :idea: At least this way the system will be open baffle from the bass up the PDR's crossover point.

The M-130X woofers were in open baffle as well.
