626R speakers
« on: 11 Feb 2017, 03:19 am »
Hello,

Does anybody have a source on 4 ohm L-pads ?? My 626R is rated as a 4 ohm speaker so think I need the 4 ohm, all I can find is the 8 ohm pads so far. Maybe I am wrong and the 8 will be fine, don't know ... anybody have more info on this ?? Thanks

An 8 ohm L-pad should be fine - you can source them from Parts Express.

I use the 15 watt on my smaller speakers and the 100 watt on Eddie. I totally over-engineer that crossover. Take a look at the existing one... If it's smaller and round - about 1" it's 15 watt. If it's larger like 1 1/2" to 2", maybe square it's 100. You might consider changing all the L-pads in both speakers while you are at it and get it over with. Time can affect them so it might be a matter of time before the others act up.

Hope this helps.  Take care of those 626's !!!!!  :D
