Help me understand. Is that Sandra Buttock? And what does she have to do with Pete Carroll? I think this one reached right past me.

Yep.  The Blind Side.  Movie about helping a FB lineman, whom I think plays for the Ravens now. 2009

He threw a pick, true, but that was not a bad throw at all- more just a fantastic job of a DB reading the play perfectly and jumping the route.
Actually, it wasn't the best possible throw. It was too high. Wilson should've thrown the ball in Lockette's gut area. Butler then would have to run through Lockette to intercept.

If you watch the replay from a certain angle, you will notice that Butler cut in from behind Lockette. I believe he was invisible when Wilson let fly. The timing was impeccable and probably unintentionally so. But it worked out for the Pats just so. The most amazing thing to me is that Butler was able to see the pass coming. He must have reacted in a nanosecond. Or he knew exactly what to expect and played it perfectly.
Either way we have been spared all the obnoxious crowing and gesticulating from Sherman and his fellow tasteless idiots. That's what I'm celebrating.

Oh yeah, Mj, Butler should and surely is being celebrated by his team and their fans.  Bet he can't pay for drinks or dinner around town anytime soon.

This angle of the play really nicely shows what an incredible play Butler made. A freaking great read, with a lightning reaction needed to prevent a TD:

I am not a Pats or Bill Simmons fan, but this is an incredibly well written article on the Super Bowl that every football fan should read:

Yeah,  thought Simmons made a lot of great points there.

Thanks, Roscoe.  Good read.  Everybody ought to read it.  Bellachick didn't call a time out on purpose?  I love it!

Well,  thank George. I read it but didn't think to post it here.

Yeah the Super Bowl coverage really didn't cover the timeout situation well at all for the most part. Wilson calling timeouts earlier that drive really hurt them.
