I know this is short notice, but I just wanted to give a heads up that Amos Lee will be playing the Duck Room at Blueberry Hill on 10-30. Doors open at 7, show is at 8. Tickets I think are 15 bucks.
He has be getting some air time on NPR, at least in Kansas City. My brother told me about him and I picked up his CD this afternoon. I have not had much chance to listen but a quick scan did produce a smile.
Reminds me a little of Ben Haper, blues rock without the spiritual undertones. More piano than guitar, nice laidback listening. The CD is on bluenotes records and Nora Jones plays Piano and sings backup on a couple tracks.
Work may prevent me from attending, but if I can work it out at all, I will be there!
