I wonder if anyone has heard the Sonnet Morpheus, and what were your thoughts on it?

I had it for a week.  During its stay, it developed a channel imbalance.  So, returned it.

Comparing against my current dac, Lab12 DAC1 SE, it's less warm and slightly more solid state sounding but more layers more spacious more fun factor.  I miss it.  But, I want to try something different.

Looking for a Merason Frerot to try.

I have the Sonnet Morpheus for about 2 years now. However, my comparisons are only to the DB Audio Tranquility SE followed by the Metrum Musette. It is by far the best of this group, very musical and detailed at the same time. My system's amplification is all tubed (Almarro and Atma-Sphere) and I didn't feel the need for a tube dac. I'm using HAL MS-6 connected by USB to the dac.

I have no plans to replace the Morpheus.
