Wonder how all these streaming services are going to make any money selling the exact same product? Amazon can afford to cut prices to the bone and make it real difficult for Tidal and others unless streaming only works with the Echo, then their customers will be locked in, copying a page from the Apple play book.

This should be VELLY interesting. With better quality streaming by Amazon, the echo dot with Alexa will sound much better going into your audio system. Just hook up an audiophile cable to you echo dot and for some or many, they will not ever need a preamp or a DAC.

This way you can spend more money on a better Bruyston  amp, other amp, or speakers. For active speakers, this will be all you need.
