SNEAK PREVIEW FOR READERS OF THIS THREAD


The USB cable on the drafting table a brand new JMaxwell Standard with 5 volt lead on evaluation loan from Ken, this is the best affordable USB you can't buy (yet). In my system the the JMaxwell sounds much better than the Dana USB, Schiit PYST (Straightwire) USB, and a couple of USB cables from China.

So, why is the best USB cable on my desk? Because I am using the JMaxwell Data Only USB cable that contains simply 3 wires, data plus and data minus and a ground wire. My USB/SPDIF has it's own linear power supply so computer noise over the 5v line is eliminated.

JMaxwell will be accepting orders soon, for now check out their website. Ken has a lot of interesting information about USB audio and the JMaxwell design. All cables are handmade in Tucson, AZ, USA.
