Title: Overdrive and Linux players
Post by: kaka on 21 Jan 2012, 11:03 pm
Has anyone coupled an Overdrive with a Sonore, Auraliti or vortex linux based player, or similar?
Did it work via the USB input without needing to do anything?

There are lists of compatible dacs on the Vortex site, but EA isn't mentioned one way or the other

Many thanks

There are no Linux drivers available yet.

I emailed M2Tech and they responded in writing that they have no plans to write a Linux driver.

Apparently they started, but shelved the project when it became apparent that writing something for Linux (open source) would reveal some proprietary information they don't want to reveal.
