Title: tube preamp
Post by: rllrll on 22 May 2010, 01:39 am
Looking to add a tube preamp to a SS system, budget 2K.

Considering the Musica Bella Basis Plus, Ming-Da Extreme MC-7 or something from Mapletree Audio.

Appreciate comments.

Thanks

rllrll,

I have owned the Mapletree 2A Se, which is a very good unit, and currently have the Purity One.  By all means, check out the offerings from Response Audio.  You will not be disappointed.

Hello rllrll,
Thanks for your interest in the Musica Bella products. We can set up one of the Basis models to match most ss amplifiers. Not to mention a custom chassis to match or contrast your system decor and still remain under your budget. Which amp would be used in the system? If you have any other questions, comments or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask.

I owned a Mapletree Audio 4SE, and now also own a Response Purity One.

Bill is great to work with, and this preamp that I have now is truly awesome. Completely transformed my system.
