Been talking to PMC at the Sound and Vision Show in Bristol here in the UK.
The guy told me that PMC are going to do a tweeter and crossover upgrade for the FB1 replacing the metal dome with a soft dome tweeter. Upgrade can be performed by a dealer. Always felt the top-end performance was this speaker's achilles heel so this news is welcome.
He didn't know what the cost was likely to be but I guess it needs to be competitive with an OB1 upgrade.
Told me to keep my eyes peeled for an announcement on the website.
PMC were demonstrating a mini FB1 (about half the size) retailing about UK £1000 (compared to £1500 for the FB1).
