Thank you for your findings. I am using 28B3s with Magnepans 20.7s and find the best sound with no resistors, but many classical recordings suffer from too tipped up mass strings or soprano choruses. Taming the strings (mostly in loud passages) with the supplied resistor removes too much of the clarity as I imagine you have found.

Yes its always a fight between ultimate resolution and the recording quality - I agree.  But when they come together it's MAGIC  :thumb:
