nice setup.  I have the 3.7is and the 4b3 in a 17x23 room.  I noticed you have the tweeters on the outside, have you tried them on the inside, inside seems to work best in my room.

Hi

My bias is for as wide a stage as I can get so I probably give up a little when it comes to image size but i tilt them in to align and optimize the phase.

@Dloines @James

Is the 4B3 adequate to drive the 3.7is? I have a new 4B3 and am considering Magneplanars.

Thanks :?

I would say depending on room size and listening levels a 4B Cubed would be fine.

Thanks. 10-½ ft x 15-¼ ft. It's probably too small for 3.7is. They would dominate the room and there would be no room for anyone but me!

What would you recommend in the Bryston speaker line. Music is mostly Jazz and Popular with the occasional Classical listening.

HI

In that size room I would highly recommend the Middle T's.

Yes, the 4b3 really gets those panels moving, lots of bottom end bass and the top-end with the Ribbon tweeters is amazing.  Even driving them hard the 4b3 doesn't break a sweat and the temp is barely warmer then room temperature....

James,

Have you have experimented with the resistors that Magnepan supplies with the speakers and if so, what have you concluded?

Thanks for your input.

Hi Simm

Yes I have - in my room I get the best Phase and Frequency response in the flat position.

Nice setup!  Magnepan is a classic pairing with Bryston. 8)

I have had great success with several Bryston amps powering Vandersteen speakers.  Ever thought about pairing them up?

Cool, that is almost the same as my setup. But I am running my 3.7i with 7BSST2.
(missed the cubed by a year, dang).
Almost the same size room. It's 16' wide for the about first 13' and then 18' wide for the last 10'.
And I got a projector and screen just like in the picture.
Except I went with the Magnepan Center Channel.

Also using my older 1.7s for the rear channels.

I love this setup.

Thank you for your findings. I am using 28B3s with Magnepans 20.7s and find the best sound with no resistors, but many classical recordings suffer from too tipped up mass strings or soprano choruses. Taming the strings (mostly in loud passages) with the supplied resistor removes too much of the clarity as I imagine you have found.
