occasional thump thru speakers from Clarinet
« on: 29 Apr 2010, 09:36 pm »
Just recently I am hearing thump noise thru speakers and its intermitent, ruled out a tube issue so.....
Could this be DC current leaking from a cap in the Clarinet?
Without removing them all to measure? does anyone know what ones to look at first? Are there certain caps in this circut that are there to surpress DC?
  Any opinions would be appreciated.

Well,I went ahead and removed the only pair of PIO caps in the circut, replaced them with Auricaps and all seems good.I heard PIO are notorious for leakage, looks to be the case here,no more PIO's for me :nono:
