RMAF 2013
« on: 17 Mar 2013, 10:55 pm »
Does anyone have any information about the 2013 RMAF? I've tried Google and Bing and not getting any useful links.

JT: unless I'm blind, all I get is 2012 and earlier when I use your link.

Thanks Ted. Someone told me the rooms were already sold out, but I don't see how considering the sparse advertising.

Marjorie told me they hired a new web developer and updates have been taking a bit longer than expected.  I'm sure the new site will be up and running shortly.

I told her "New website?  You already had by far the best show website in the biz".

New guy here ...

The 2013 website seems to be up and running: http://audiofest.net/new/

I've booked a room, but not the flights, yet. I enjoyed AXPONA in Chicago this past March, so I thought I'd see what all the RMAF fuss is about.  :green:

Wow, this is less than 2 months away. On the verge of booking room/flight/hotel, but haven't quite decided on everything yet.

Better get off my *** and figure this out. Tempted to stay at the venue this year (**Nevermind - looks like they're sold out**), but getting used to the routine over at Hampton.

Time to fish or cut bait.....

Geesh, prices are up again! :o Going to go over everything with Anne tonight. Last year she flew in Saturday afternoon. Talking about the same thing or similar this year. It's about the same time as the Albuquerque Balloon Festival, and her best friend wants her to go to that for a few days and stay with her - got to work out the logistics of this thing. She may go to NM, then fly up to Denver. On the other hand, her work schedule is all over the place....

How's the Hilton?

We had always been staying at the Hilton.
MUCH nicer room.
Call the hotel directly and negotiate. :)
We pay $139 and $103 (weekdays & weekend) while the Marriott was more expensive.

I drove by the Hilton last year, but didn't go in. Do they include any sort of breakfast? How long is the walk (guessing it's about the same as the Hampton, say 5 minutes or so?)

I've got the Hampton Inn pretty wired. Grab some "to go" food and take it back to my room and plan out the day.

Gotta try to save a few bucks here and there.  :green:

I have King Suite at Hampton for $93 and includes breakfast.  It is one simple walk across a parking lot, then cross street to Marriott (this pic from a couple years ago RMAF thread..Marriott in upper left).
