Decided that this year I will look to get the albums I really want. I have a long list of albums that were released in 2013 that I will slowly purchase and I am anticipating a lot of 2014 album releases. I am almost through my purchases from last year. 1 to 4 albums per week is much more manageable.

Wait 'til you hear the Ventures morph "Tequila" into "Rudolph, The Red-Nosed Reindeer."

The cuts start with a classic Ventures piece before switching, mid-bar, into a classic Christmas song. Bizarre, but fun.

Some recent new-to-me finds.

Eden Brent - "Mississippi Number One" & "Ain't Got No Troubles" - superb piano blues & boogie woogie and a great voice to go with it.

Scott Miller - "Big Big World", "Upside Downside" & "Citation" - Americana. One of the best songwriters around.

Simone Dinnerstein - "Bach, A Strange Beauty" - excellent classical pianist. Has several other Bach albums out. All recommended.
