I have an 845 SET amplifier running Super 3is full-range currently. For my small listening room (11x13'), an 845 SET is overkill power-wise for these speakers. Just crossing 1 watt on the power level meter on the amp is enough to deafen anybody. A 300B SET would be perfect, and I ran these speakers with a 2A3 SET just fine as well.

Hey Greg,

The finish is called Macassar Ebony.

Tim

Thank you very much, just an amazing looking system.

I am a new owner of the CAM's and will say that my Dennis Had EL84-based SET amp drives the hell out of the speakers, creating a warm liquid sound.  The DH amp costs around $1200 and is destined to be a classic.  It is a bargain and with upgraded tubes, it is well worth trying.

Whitestix - congratulations on the CAM's!

What is the configuration of your Inspire amp?  I know he did a number of EL84 SEP/SET amps in the past.
