With my MTMs on top of the H-Frames I have to tailor the phase setting and both amps do not usually end up at the same spot.
For me it's a trial and error approach. Take a reading with the phase control at 0 then another at 90. Compare the two graphs to determine if you need to go further up the dial or if you overshot and need to come back. If you went too far, come back to 45 and take another reading. If not far enough, go up to 120 and take the reading. Keep cutting the correction distance in half until you get the curve you like.
