I just listened to Megadeth's "The Sick the Dying and the Dead" and just thought about how many 'singers' who actually 'talk-sing' (a new word I just made up),who actually talk more than they actually sing, not actual singing but something in between talking and singing through their whole album......I just came up with Dave Mustaine for one,off the top of my head, but can't think of any more right now,but I know there are some more for sure...who would you say?.Thanks,Huck

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

Just thought of this also. Check out Morphine too. Sandman used that singing/talking technique on many of their songs. Love them.

I recommend "Bloody Kisses" (1993) by Type 0 Negative.Really good album, with some "talk-sing" passages.

In 1994, Type 0 Negative recorded "Black Sabbath" song for "Nativity In Black-Tribute To Black Sabbath" and the whole song was recorded as a spoken word.

If we can stretch that to "talk-sing-shout", I would add Henry Rollins to that list.
