I was reading the Audio Basics newsletters on the website, and also some of the posted reviews- and somewhere I remember reading about a RB version of the AVA pre-amps (real-basic?). Are these still available?- or available by special order?

Seems that they had (2) inputs; a tape loop; and a volume control- no balance control or mono switch.

We did build a RB (Real Basic) preamp series for a while  --  essentially a SL stripped down to basic functions (three sets of inputs, two sets of outputs, headphone out, and precision volume control).

However there was not enough demand for it to justify re-runing the custom faceplate for it for another production batch, almost all chose the SL version instead.
