Love these guys, but this CD sounds like crap.  I'd kill to see them live.

Samples: http://www.amazon.com/Origin-Vol-Soundtrack-Our-Lives/dp/B0007TKH6G/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1271467642&sr=8-3

I got that one and Behind The Music. Good stuff.    :thumb:

Love Vol. 4.  I think it's one of Sabbath's most under appreciated albums.

My personal fav is Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.   :thumb:

This is probably not the right place for this but since you asked.

I  had a get together a week ago and one of the invitees offered to surprise us with some vintage gear and recordings.

The vintage gear was a fully functional 1/4 inch Ampex 354 tube R2R studio recorder from 1953 which we placed in the hall as it was noisy. We connected it via balanced cables to my system and we thought ok...this should be interesting.

Then my guest pulls out a copy of a master tape from a 1962 jazz recording of which I have the remastered CD version.

Well to make a long story short the tape resolved instruments beautifully and the entire presentation was highly musical and void of tape noise. The CD by comparison sounded lifeless.

So I am listening to NOTHIN right now.
