I just saw the Mother's day thread and I downloaded a free cut from the AudioGate site. Nothing so far recognizes the file on my Mac. I saw that there is a player on AudioGate, but what I want to do is put this in my library and have my SACD capable Oppo play it without transcoding. Am I asking too much at this point? I've done 24/192 flac over my wireless and it plays without any problem so I have plenty of bandwidth if I can start a stream, and if the Oppo can handle it. I haven't checked the Oppo site to see if they have any info yet, but that's only part of the picture.
Has anybody done anything like this?
Checked the Oppo site and there is no mention of DSD support for non-SACD files, so I guess the answer is no. Maybe the next firmware??? One can hope.
