Title: Isolation for entire system
Post by: saxguy on 29 Oct 2017, 05:44 pm
I am reorganizing my system, moving everything to 3" maple block on the floor.  Currently, each block is sitting on four Herbie's superior decoupling spikes. For my amp and preamp, the blocks are doubled with an additional set of four superior decoupling spikes between the layers (I'm not sure if this is overkill or not).

My components are as follows:

Power Conditioner: Torus RM 15 Plus
Source: LUMIN S1 with external Linear power supply
Preamplifier: Don Sachs Pre 2
Amplifier: Upgraded RM-9 mk ii

What would be the best products and configuration for each component?

Which speakers are you using, and how are they coupled to the floor?  Just curious!

I imagine the Herbie's folks will be along to answer before too long.  I just made use of their dBneutralizer sheets in between my large loudspeakers (JBL 4344) and the walnut block stands on which they sit; the result was a lot less room interaction and much improved bass...
