an Rm9 mk.II outputs 250 watts per channel into 4 ohms?

I wonder what the distortion level is at that power level?

here are the specs for the RM9 MKII

8 ohms:

power 128 watts
dissipation 100 watts

4 ohms:

power 65 watts
dissipation 156 watts

2 ohms:

power 40 watts
dissipation 200 watts



now for the RM9SE:

8 ohms:

power 162 watts
dissipation 88 watts

4 ohms:

power 200 watts
dissipation 95 watts

2 ohms:

power 128 watts
dissipation 110 watts



as a side note: as good as the RM9mkII  is the RM9SE eats it for breakfast. i know i have had both and still have the SE.

..."when strapped for mono with a second sample."  He's talking about using 2 RM9s as mono blocks though the ad is only for 1 amp.  Sneaky and misrepresentative, IMO.

Strapped into mono the RM9 mk II will put out 250 watts into a 4 ohm load off the 8 ohm tap. The SE version will put out more as rbwalt notes.
