Entangled and Ripples to test your midrange and transparency. Dance on a Volcano to test how low and dynamic your speakers really are; when I first started this journey, this was my go to test record. All songs are great and it was their first good recording. What a talented band.
Cheers.
I first heard this album at a party during my sophomore year in high school. It had been out for four years at that point but I was into Rush, Triumph, etc. and wasn't too aware of post-Gabriel Genesis. WXRT in Chicago used to play an entire album on Saturday nights without interruptions. I had just grabbed my first beer and was walking past the old console stereo in my friends front room when they started playing this album. When it started playing I looked at my girlfriend at the time and said "What the hell is this?". Laughing as I said it because we were into rock, and whatever this was, it wasn't in my music collection. Well, we listened for a few more minutes and after the first song ended we looked at each other in total awe, as it was probably our first "God moment" listening to music. We ended up listening to the entire album and I don't remember either of us saying a word while it was playing. That was a great evening
