Title: New Headphones for Spring Purchase
Post by: Escott1377 on 28 Dec 2018, 08:21 pm
Anyone with experience with these?

https://www.audioadvisor.com/prodinfo.asp?number=FLCLEAR

I will be shopping for an upgrade this spring.

I currently own a pair of a pair of HiFi Man 560's and I think its time to invest a little more for better performance.

I also am open to suggestions if anyone has ideas w/ in the same price range.

Trying to stay away from Grado's since they appear to charge handsomely for their word construction, however this is just my observation,

My stereo is now in storage since I lost my listening space to my 2 yr old twins to expand for more play area.

Thanks in advance -

The Focal Clear is superb, it’s the best blend between the Elear and the Utopia. The Clear has almost the clarity of the Utopia, the Clear has the better bottom end.
I personally avoid Grado, I don’t get why people like them so much I can’t stand that that narrow upfront Grado house sound. I have only come across 1 Grado I liked and that was the PS500, that is a Grado that does not sound like a Grado. I think that is a Grado designed for none Grado fans.

What headphone amp are you going to use ?

The clear is a nice headphone.  The last time I heard the Clear was with a Violectric amp, very nice.
