Are any of these two cartridge worth to re-tip?

I'm referring to an old pair of cartridges I have kept in a drawer and found lately.

Both are from Radio Shack.

Shure RV-15 RS and Shure RXT-4

My actual cartridge is a Grado Red a nd I was considering a NOS Empire 750 LTD.

My table is a JVC QL-Y66F with an Aragon 47K phono stage.

What do you reccomend?

1- Forget the Shures and stay with the Grado
2- Forget the Shures and buy the Empire
3- Re-tip the Shure (which one?) and replace the Grado
4- Keep the Grado and forget the others.

Thanks for any response...

Jose

If you decide to buy a replacement stylus, the RV-15 RS model is the keeper of the two, as its a re-badged V15, although I am not sure which series.

The folks at Shure can probably help you with a genuine replacement stylus.   You may want to send them an e mail.  I would go this route before buying the Empire. It's probably the cheaper of the two choices as well.

Don't go for a generic replcement stylus, they are vastly inferior.
