Help from a non-audiophile who has enjoyed many years with the Sapphire IItis and Sub 1s. I'm thinking of purchasing the new Pioneer Elite VSX-91TXH. I've also just purchased the ACI Protege center speaker. The Pioneer allows you to set speaker impedance to either 6 or 8 ohms. What should I set it to? And how will this impact future purchase of rear surround speakers.

Any help would be musch appreciated.

Bill, do you happen to have a link to an online manual for that Rec.? I'd like to take a look before I make a recommendation.

Wow, what a process . . . The manual didn't really say anything pertinent. Best guess would be to use the 6 ohm setting. I would also consider trying both and see what yielded the best results . . .
