Octal Cornet Output Capacitor
« on: 18 Mar 2004, 01:42 am »
Jim,

My cornet (octal version) has the standard .47uf output capacitor. I've just recieved a new pre-amp with an input impedance of 17k ohm. My current pre has an input impedance of 60k and that standard cap provides plenty of bass.  :D

Previously, you've said the lower cut-off for the standard cap is 20k input impedance. Is 17k close enough or should the Cornet output capacitor be changed? If changed, is a 1uf optimal?
