Born in Bolton, England

Best known as the lead vocalist for the prog band, Renaissance.

She has a 5+ octave range, near perfect intonation, and loads of emotion.

Lead vocalist for Italian prog band, Banco del Mutuo Soccorso.

5 octave range, lots of power.

Usually their songs are long and complex, but this is a beautiful ballad.

 I recently picked up a Joshua Kadison ( Painted Desert ) CD and was totally amazed at how good this guy is.
   Very good album all the way through too.

Dimash with a 7+ octave range.  Sings in 15 languages and plays 7 instruments.
He has 2 masters in music and is working on his PhD in music composition.

Tarja Turunen - Finnish singer and songwriter. She is a mezzo and lyric soprano.

Former lead singer of Nightwish.  Solo career since 2006.  Her work to become and maintain her vocal talent is impressive.

My entries, Roy Orbison. One of the best rock and roll, rockabilly, c&w vocalists ever IMHO. Also Amy Lee of Evanescence, and no one mentioned Eva Cassidy?! What about Amanda McBroom?
