The Kef 107 was a fine speaker in its day.  I'm sure it still holds its own.

YOU KNOW YOUR SPEAKERS

You always remember the good stuff.  I lusted after a pair of those for a long time but was never able to get a pair.  I've had several pairs of the smaller Kefs over the years so I have a strong affinity and respect for their sound.

Thanks.  I enjoy having the outlet.  As you know, music lovers and audiophiles are often few and far between.  I'm also getting turned on to a lot of good music.  My credit card is smoking from buying so many downloads!

My wife wants to hear "Salt Peanuts". The cut isn't on the album but if I remember correctly they go into it in the middle of another cut.

In my collection, other versions of Salt Peanuts can be found on:
Steamin' with the Miles Davis Quintet (Remastered)
Bebop, Milt Jackson
Jazz at Massey Hall, The Quintet
Yardbird Suite: The Ultimate Collection, Disk 1,  Charlie Parker
Jazz Straight Up, Stanley Clarke
The Verve/Philips Dizzy Gillespie Small Group Sessions, Disc 4

You might have one of these handy.

Nice list SC, thanks! I have most of those on CD. I even forgot about Clarke's version. The Yardbird Suite is one of my favorite sets and has the best version of Salt Peanuts ever!  :thumb:

I'll be putting that set on next. We'll be "Groovin' High"!  8)

Glad to be able to help.  I was able to search for that song through JRiver Media Center.  If you haven't already, take a look at computer audio.  It puts you back in control of youir music library as well as sounding great.  Happy listening.
