It's worth it, though maybe a half-step behind "GO".

I got lucky and stumbled onto a shrink-wrapped 2014 reissue a few months back.

Keep looking.

This is on my wish list!

Anything Goes--Dave Brubeck Quartet Plays Cole Porter

(Photo inspired by Cactus Bob's retro backdrops--my newly refurb'd M60s, although his tubes must be much bigger than mine comparing them to the size of his LPs 8))

Definitely will keep looking.  And buying.  The question is how many albums not on my list I pick up for every one not on my list!

Nice find, that's a great album! I have in on CD and will replace it with vinyl eventually. Give it more time and you'll get into it more.

Well, Bob I'm listening to it again and it's growing on me.  Definitely some righteous blowin'..

Earl,
I'm liking your Sunday morning Latin mood with Giovanni.

Here's mine:  I picked up this SACD a couple weeks ago and like it more every time I listen to it.  Of course the recent appearance of my Atma-Sphere amps could be why it's scratching the itch particularly well this morning... :D

Hi AC,

Don't think I have anything by Paquito.  Think I'll check him out.

EarPal (sorry about the Earl thing!),
Just picked up this today.  It's been well-loved,and not a great recording to start with, but some decent Afro-Cuban jazz.

What kind of pre-amp is that in the background of your photos?

Cal Tjader Soul Burst (Verve recorded by Rudy Van Gelder, 1966)

Cal Tjader vibes
Chick Corea piano
Jerome Richardson flute
Jerry Dodgion flute
Seldon Powell flute
Bobby Rodriquez bass
Richard Davis bass
Grady Tate drums
Virctor Pantoja percussion
Carlos "Patato" Valdes conga
Attila Zoller guitar

$10 and a very sweet recording.  A bit of surface noise, so I think I'll try giving it a run through my SpinClean and Nitty Gritty.  Rudy Van Gelder really knew what he was doing--I've never heard a bad-sounding Van Gelder recording.

Don't listen to much jazz anymore but right now, I'm running through my collection...all CD's the last few days.

Just highlighting some of the best...

Oliver Nelson More Blues and the Abstract Truth
Mingus, Mingus Mingus, Mingus
BenWebster Meets Oscar Peterson
Benny Carter Further Definitions (though I prefer the first 8 tracks recorded years earlier than the last 8)
"                 " Swinging the 20's
Peterson Trio At the Blue Note
Brubeck Quartet - gone with the Wind
Erroll Garner - A Night At the Movies/Up In Erroll's Room
Count Basie/Joe Williams - The Greatest
