:thumb: - one of the first jazz records I ever bought, if not the 1st.

Cool! I've been really digging the Pass lp's lately.

Great Desmond solo on "At A Perfume Counter."

A friend bought this for me for Christmas 1987 from a bin in Hollywood used record shop. She remembered I liked Brubeck and saw this cheap. She was one of the people screaming in the background on Lionel Richie's "Dancing on the Ceiling."

This album is intoxicating.  Check out the YouTube of track 7, "Slims" shot in a rustic brew pub in London.  The ambience of the pub is perfect for this piece.

Quote
The Craig Hundley Trio became a sensation in the 1960s, especially after an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The trio consisted of Craig Hundley on piano, Shermin McKinney on bass, and Gary Chase on drums.
Their first album was titled Arrival of a Young Giant and was created when Craig Hundley was 15 years old. The second album was Craig Hundley Plays with the Big Boys and included an orchestra along with the trio. Both records were released by World Pacific Records.

He was also in an episode of the original Star Trek.
