Not sure why this is in the Van Alstine circle, other than that both Frank and Mark are guys who don't have a lot of tolerance for BS. I have been to Waldrop's talks and he has a lot of truth to tell.

Dr. Waldrep findings are independent confirmation to Frank's listening experience, that all audible resolution is provided by 192kHz/24bit source material, and higher resolution DACs don't provide any additional audible information.

  I have aged ears. To me well done 96/24 is plenty. Even 192/24 is overkill.

Mark attends most of the major audio shows promoting his recordings and sharing his knowledge of digital audio and the "marketing" behind it (his definition of 'marketing' is very close to Frank's as shared in the old Audio Basics) and usually gives a presentation on the topic, which I definitely recommend checking out.
