The studio was damaged by a fire in the 1980s. It is being inducted in the Colorado Music Hall of Fame on August 13 at a concert at Fiddler's Green Amphitheater in Greenwood Village CO. Also being honored are Joe Walsh and Barnstorm and Dan Fogelberg. Performing are Garth Brooks, Amy Grant & Vince Gill, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Richie Furay, Randy Owen of Alabama, Todd Park Mohr (Big Head Todd and the Monsters), Michael Martin Murphey and more, plus a reunion performance from Joe Walsh & Barnstorm. I have tickets and looking forward to it.

Oh, that's cool. Good for you for having tickets. I lived in CO from 74 - 86 and was able to see a buncha folks  in unusual venues, my favorite being a snowed-in wedding reception dinner at the Red Lion, outside of Boulder"

Oh, that's cool. Good for you for having tickets. I lived in CO from 74 - 86 and was able to see a buncha folks  in unusual venues, my favorite being a snowed-in wedding reception dinner at the Red Lion, outside of Boulder, where Walsh, Fogelberg and Dallas Taylor were fooling around. I drank but didn't partake in most of the extra curricular activities of the day and for a few hours I sat secluded off to the side with someone named Judy, a rather fragile, older but lovely lady who wasn't amused at all by all the druggin going on around her. To ignore the revelers, we mostly talked about books and music, ate the hors d'oeuvers and wedding cake and drank champagne. I guess I was more tipsy, i.e., skunked, than I thought at the time because I didn't realize who she was until the next day when a friend asked, "So, what did you and Judy Collins have to talk about for so long."

Cool story, thanks for sharing. I grew up there from 53-66 and lived and worked there from June 79-Nov. 96. In addition to Red Rocks, lots of good venues in the greater Denver area, then and now.
