This could be a Klaus question, but I'll throw it to the forum... 

The Tempest has 2 pairs of RCA inputs for turntables, one for MC and one for MM.  Is it possible to keep two turntables connected, and merely use the toggle switch to select which TT is being used at that moment?  Or will having 2 TTs connected degrade the signals of both?

Well hell no! Hook em both up... Should be just fine. That switch takes the other out of the equation when not selected.
