Last year returning from CAF, we noticed the axle on our trailer was smoking.  We pulled off at the first exit in Ohio and, sure enough, we had a major problem.

We were at a loss as to what to do and then noticed a sign for a trailer company.  We happened pull off at an exit with the largest trailer sales company in Ohio right around the corner.

Since we needed a new trailer to get home (it would take a month or more to get our existing trailer fixed), we thought we may as well upgrade.  All's well that ends well (although it was an expense we certainly could have done without).

Pulling into a new trailer dealer with a smoking axle, the salesman's smile must have been priceless.
How about a photo of your new trailer?

Trailer maintenance is something people tend to forget.

If they ever knew in the first place...lesson learned.

On a side note: I saw the two trailers next to each other, and I thought they were both Salk's.

Pics or it didn’t happen!

(Sorry, I don’t make the rules, they’re just there, like death and taxes. Well, not exactly like death and taxes, not even like death in Texas but rules are rules and that’s how it is. Sorry.).

OK.

Here is a picture taken last year just before we transferred everything from the broken down single-axle trailer to the new one...

And here is a picture from this year's CAF of the new double-axle trailer (not a good one mind you, but the only one I have at this point, so it will have to do)...

What? No veneer or fire burst finish?  Maybe it's just early days.

Our veneer presses were too small.

I have fond memories of pushing that old trailer up a too steep, almost unnavigable gravel road.  R.I.P. old trailer.

My sympathies for your loss ..... but that new family member is a beauty, Jim!

I remember as well.  Thought we'd never get that up the hill!
