Title: Upcoming Show - Mono
Post by: bside123 on 9 Aug 2015, 10:30 pm
Hey Guys!

I'm pleased to announce that I have been chosen to hang a small, black and white show of my photographic images at the Anthill Gallery in Cobden, IL. This is a relatively well-known gallery and art shop in Southern Illinois and the proprietors are a major part of the downstate art scene. I've prepared 14 prints, all 10"x 15" except for one large landscape which will be 15" x 30" All the images are giclée prints on fine-art, cotton based paper.

I also have the good fortune to show about 50 photographs, in a one-man show, in January. Stay tuned. More later...

Congratulations on your upcoming shows. Beautiful images.

Many years ago, I signed up for a photography class and took a shine to black & white images (film at the time). I remember my instructor's words to this day, at least somewhat. With color, the most prominent feature is often the color, with black & white, it becomes about  textures and contrast. I'm attracted to them still.
