I went to Lancaster, PA. today and this is what I picked up fro "FREE"

2 / NAD preamps     1 / NAD power amp  1 / AR turntable  1 / Harmon Kardon cassette player

I have no interest in the AR (needs serious work) or the cassette player

8 boxes of LP's   Most LP's will go to the GoodWill but I'm sure I'll keep a few  :thumb:

This is my first lp by Joe, although I have heard everthing by him pretty much. Great sonics. The JBL's are cranking!  :thumb:

Awesome score congrats! Being a vintage gear groupie I'd be inclined to get the AR restored. Looks pretty good from here. Nice haul.

I know of a guy who does AR restorations. If he wants he can have it for the cost of shipping.

The Section ~ Fork It Over

Quote
The Section are a US instrumental rock band formed in the early 1970s by musicians Danny Kortchmar, Craig Doerge, Leland Sklar, and Russ Kunkel. They are best known for both studio and stage work in support of some of the best selling solo singers of that decade. Their frequent appearances on the records of artists signed to Asylum Records made them the label's de facto house band. Their close association with the singer-songwriter and soft rock genres of the 1970s also led to their alternate moniker of "The Mellow Mafia."

Strawbs: "Hero and Heroine"
Alas, no Sandy, but a hell of a Progressive rock band from back in the day.

My B$M owner took a copy home, Laura likes it, so I bought it. After listening to the Lp, The Wife demanded the CD for her car. Yup, it's pretty good.

A gift from Jerome S. who stopped by my house Sunday on his way home from visiting his family in MD. I was floored to say the least as this was a very generous gift !!!!

Mastered by Doug Sax using an all-tube system. Overseen by Bruce Botnick, The Doors producer/engineer.

Two 45 rpm LPs pressed on 200-gram vinyl at Quality Record Pressings/Also on Hybrid Multichannel SACD

Part of The Doors reissue series proudly presented by Analogue Productions and Quality Record Pressings!

The Doors self-titled 1967 release famously contains some incorrect speed and pitch issues. While there have been "corrected" versions made, in the interests of being historically accurate, this Analogue Productions reissue was cut without speed or pitch correction.

A great gift for sure. I have it and it is the best I've ever heard that album sound.
