...and an intro. Retired recently so I have more time to go through my collection. Somewhat eclectic tastes as I listen to most all jazz (and fusion), forms of rock I grew up with (in the 60s and 70s), some rock from the 90s and beyond (the 80s were a black hole of music to me), lots and lots of psych/prog/space rock and Krautrock thrown in for good measure. Posting in this circle since I like to read through what others interests are or what might align with mine.
Regards,
Jack

You're welcome to post in the Music Circle. Always looking for input as I have pretty much run out of ideas.
My taste is mostly Trance electronic, Hard Rock, pop, but looking for new music that I like.
Also there is a Jazz & Classical Circle if that is your taste.

Welcome Jack!
I'm 64, retired for 6 years, 40+ years into audio. I value room impacts (have a properly shaped, well insulated room, with 10 GIK 244 absorption panels, 3 large bookcases to act as casual diffusion panels, and 3 carefully placed subwoofers. I use a mid-field setup and greatly prefer single driver loudspeakers or active monitors. Listen at moderate levels usually to mostly small ensemble jazz and classical in mid-Michigan.

Yes carefully thought out and placed rooms are the building block of a system to be sure. I have one treated room w/ three subs, another with Mc gear I bought new in'78 that are driving Maggie MMGs and two subs and a third with office set up that's a retro-mod Yamaha silver face system including a Yamaha tt I bought new back then.
I'll get around to posting pics one day..........
Once again thanks for responding to this intro -
